Every night when we lay Little Wisp down for bed we sing her 'You Are My Sunshine', so choosing the theme for her first birthday was a no brainer for me!
We go all out for 1st birthdays in this house.
After that, you get a birthday bbq with family and a friend birthday once you're school age!
The friend ones are usually at a fun play place, because I'd rather pay someone else to have to clean up after the kid tornado than do it myself.
I made the cake out of vanilla cake, raspberry filling, cream cheese frosting, oreos with icing for the sunflowers!
She loved the cake and smashed it real good!
She made a big 'ol mess and her maternal grandma helped me get her all cleaned up in the sink after!
It needed to be a team effort!
She opened gifts and loved all of the toys and books she received!
I loved all of the adorable outfits!
We had a PACKED house!
Her Foster family as well as her biological family and a whole bunch of friends showed up and showered her with love!
Thank you so much to everyone who gave her the gift of your presence.
It is so important to us that she know she is loved wherever she goes, and that she has a team of people looking out for her!
We appreciate everything that everyone has done for her more than you can imagine!
Here's to making her 2nd year on this earth the best year yet!
