About Me

My photo
Our family consists of Paul/Daddy. He loves his little girls, wife and family more than anything in the world. Velvet (aka MaMa Velvet or Mommy). I'm a photographer and very happy stay at home Mom who can't get enough time with my little ones! Lily (aka Monster or Princess). She's our 12 year old smart, talkative, beautiful young woman who is impressing us everyday! Addison (aka Doo or Addi). She's 8 (almost 9!) artistic, sensitive, lovely young lady who has a quick sense of humor! Scarlett or Bo for short! She's 7, sassy, outgoing, cute as a button and has a passion for a few very select food groups! Finally we have our littlest princess, who has blessed us with her presence until it's time to go home. She's almost 1 and the happiest little baby around! She loves clapping, snuggling, shaking her head no, and laughing at her sisters!

Scarlett's Mansion

This weekend we surprised my Mother with a family/friend trip to the beach and her favorite rental home for her birthday!

Scarlett spent the week telling all of her friends that she'd be staying in a mansion and requested that I write a note to her class AND take pictures to prove she was telling the truth!

So here they are!

This is the Commanders Home by Fort Stevens.

This is the home that the Commander, his family, and their wait staff lived in while he worked at the Fort!

It's a super cool huge old home and we love to stay here when we visit the coast.

It's only 25 minutes from Seaside and about 10-15 minutes from Astoria!

When You Have a Front Yard

When we purchased our home 3 years ago the yard (all .27acres of it) was an overgrown forest.

No space to play outside without being attacked by some sort of pokey itchy plant.

We've been working really hard, and really slowly, to get a small patch of it in working order and this summer is the first that the girls have really gotten to play in it!

WOO!

Maybe in 3 more years the front will be finished.

Maybe.

Just for reference, these are two photos from the first week front yard!

1,000 more yards projects to go, but a level grass filled front yard is a great start!
