When You Have a Front Yard

When we purchased our home 3 years ago the yard (all .27acres of it) was an overgrown forest.

No space to play outside without being attacked by some sort of pokey itchy plant.

We've been working really hard, and really slowly, to get a small patch of it in working order and this summer is the first that the girls have really gotten to play in it!

WOO!

Maybe in 3 more years the front will be finished.

Maybe.

Just for reference, these are two photos from the first week front yard!

1,000 more yards projects to go, but a level grass filled front yard is a great start!

1 More Year, 1,000 More Photos

We have officially been in our home for 3 years!

This last year has been up, down, and all around.

We've gone from Pre K, 1st, and 4th grade, to Kindergarten, 2nd, and a big bad 5th grader!

We've lost countless teeth from two little mouths.
We've played sports and cheered on teammates.
We've done art projects and countless tests.
We've gone to the movies and played at the park.
We've lived with Aunt's and Uncle's in our home and welcomed new babies into our family.
We've heard baby announcements and smooched newborn cheeks.
We've celebrated with our friends as they pledged their lives to one another.
We've grown our businesses and been supported by our loved ones.
We've worked hard to provide for our family.

We've been blessed and we've been through hard times.

We've fought.

We've loved.
All in this house that we're slowly making into a home.

1,000 points to anyone who can tell me how many times Scarlett showed us her owie finger.

5 points to anyone who made it this far.

You win.
