We Did!

4 years ago today Paul and I, infront of all our friends and family, committed to spend the rest of our lives together.

4 years later I'm still putting up with him!

Maybe it's because he works so hard at providing for our family.

Maybe it's because he tells me he loves me on a daily basis.

Maybe it's because he has given me 3 beautiful little girls to shower with love.

Or maybe it's because I feel like he makes me want to be a better person.

Happy 4 year anniversary Babe!

Splish Splash

Papa and Gummy bought a kiddie pool for Brandon and Lacey's backyard!

Lily jumped on in and started having a blast!

While Addison...

Stood to the side and watched her sister like a big chicken.

We tried to explain to her that it was just like a big bath...

But she wasn't having any of it.

She was willing to make silly faces at me though.

Cheeser.

Sweet Sidewalk Chalk.

After a long day at the zoo and a small sand debacle we headed back to Brandon and Laceys.

Lacey had purchased a large box of sidewalk chalk and bubbles for Addison as a late birthday gift and had her open it as soon as we got back!

Their backyard has a sweet sidewalk chalk set up in that half of it is a large concrete slab!

The girls got straight to blowing as many bubbles as possible.

About 5 minutes in, Addison dumped out half of her bubble bottle onto the pavement.

She was pretty upset about it until she realized that the combination of the chalk and bubbles made for a sweet paint like substance.

So the girls spent the rest of the evening coating themselves in bubble soaked chalk and leaving footprints everywhere.

All in all our first day there was fantastic and the girls had a blast!

Day 2 begins tomorrow!

A Tiny Grain of Sand...

The San Fransisco zoo had a very large play area!

It would have been fantastic had it not been planted firmly in the middle of an even bigger sand box.

Watch if you will...

Lily jumped right in and started having a fantastic time.

Addison stood here.

Considering the options.

She took the plunge and stuck one foot in.

Then promptly ripped it right back out.

Addison hates sand.

HATES.

I'm not exaggerating either.

Oh lord.

The big beach trip we have planned in August should be interesting...

San Fransisco Zoo!

On Saturday morning the whole family visited the San Fransisco Zoo!
It was a lot of fun and all the exhibits were set up very well!

Every animal was super close so it was extra easy for the girls to find them.

All in all they had a fun time and ran out a lot of wiggles from the extra long car ride the day before!

How Many Ways...

We packed up last Friday and headed off for a fun family vacation down to California!

The drive is around 10 hours long if you drive straight through with no stops.

With three small children, that was NOT going to be a possibilty for us, so we planned on at least 12 hours of "car time".

That being said I had a small discussion with the girls about how I'd duct tape there mouths shut if I heard the question "Are we there yet?"

What can I say?

I'm a fantastic Mother.

Daddy set up the portable DVD so the the girls could watch some movies during the trip.

The girls took the obligatory 'beginning of our vacation' trip for me.

Then we turned on some Backyardigans and enjoyed all 90 minutes of child silence bliss.

Except for this one of course.

She had things to say and a van full of people to say them to!

About 4 hours in Addison took a nap and we stopped at Rice Hill for some ice cream!

No pictures of the ice cream were taken.

Mommy got ice cream too and you just can't interrupt that for anything.

Silly faces ensued after a while and this was by far the best one.

The girls did fantastic overall and the girls never uttered 'Are we there yet?'.

"Is it dark yet?", "How far away are we?", "When will we be there?", "Why is this drive so long?", "Mama, I stuck.", "When can we get out of the van?" and "We should just fly back." were definitely said more than once though.

I guess I can't win all the time.
