State Fair: Part 2- The Amazingly Hot and Sweaty Rides

So a couple of weeks ago our family had the opportunity to spend some time at the Oregon State Fair.

As many of you know it's located in Salem, which is about an hour away on good traffic days.

Needless to say we were in the car for about an hour and a half.

Addison ended up getting a decent nap which was awesome because we were planning on a grumpy 1 year old.

First picture post nap... still in the car...

When we finally got to the destination we jumped out of the car with Grandma and Grandpa and ran into (not literally) a huge horse.

The owners were extra nice and let Lily pet the huge animal.

Once inside we took a pit stop to add copious amounts of sunblock to the ankle biters.

They don't like toasty skin.

Go figure.

Addison spent most of the day trying to escape her stroller.

She's still too tiny to ride most of the rides at the Fair.

My poor, overly large baby.

Next year you'll be big enough sweetie, Mommy promises!

Hey... how you doin?

Sorry about that... I can't control myself sometimes.

Anyway, Lily rode LOTS of rides, including but not limited to the motorcycle ride...

The jumbo swings...

and the helicopter ride.

I'd have photos of her on the haunted house but she spent the entirety of her ride with her head buried in my lap.

I warned her.

Addison on the other hand spent her free time perfecting her "baby suave" look...

Good right?

We're in trouble for her teen years.

Oy.
