When You Have a Front Yard

When we purchased our home 3 years ago the yard (all .27acres of it) was an overgrown forest.

No space to play outside without being attacked by some sort of pokey itchy plant.

We've been working really hard, and really slowly, to get a small patch of it in working order and this summer is the first that the girls have really gotten to play in it!

WOO!

Maybe in 3 more years the front will be finished.

Maybe.

Just for reference, these are two photos from the first week front yard!

1,000 more yards projects to go, but a level grass filled front yard is a great start!

Leashes for Children and Swim Lessons

About a month ago, Scarlett decided that she was big enough to run away from me at a water park and straight into the giant wave pool.

Have I mentioned before that she is the reason leashes for children exist?

I'm still having heart palpitations and stress dreams over this.

So Paul and I decided that it was time for some swim lessons.

All three girls did amazing!

Only 1,000 more lessons and I might feel comfortable when they are all in a swimming pool.
