About Me

My photo
Our family consists of Paul/Daddy. He loves his little girls, wife and family more than anything in the world. Velvet (aka MaMa Velvet or Mommy). I'm a photographer and very happy stay at home Mom who can't get enough time with my little ones! Lily (aka Monster or Princess). She's our 12 year old smart, talkative, beautiful young woman who is impressing us everyday! Addison (aka Doo or Addi). She's 9, artistic, sensitive, lovely young lady who has a quick sense of humor! Scarlett or Bo for short! She's 7, sassy, outgoing, cute as a button and has a passion for a few very select food groups! Finally we have our littlest princess, who has blessed us with her presence until it's time to go home. She's 1 and the happiest little baby around! She loves clapping, snuggling, shaking her head no, and laughing at her sisters! She's incredibly smart and uses sign language to communicate most of her needs until she learns to use her big girl words. We are loving on her with every ounce of our being!

She Lubs It!

I spent the afternoon yesterday painting up Scarlett's room!

Her 3rd birthday is in April and I really want to have it done before then. Especially since Addison has requested an entirely different color scheme and set up for HER room for a birthday present in May. I made the mistake of taking her to the children's section in IKEA and it's all I've heard about ever since.

Her room is in fact fully painted though and Scarlett's was not, so her room is getting done first!

Just have to finish up the edging and second coat today, complete the trim tomorrow, and then get everything hung back up and new curtains to help block out that morning light that wakes her up at the crack of dawn.

My arms hurt already, but it's pink and green and she LUBS it!

  1. Awww so cute! Your daughters surely loved this! While I don't think you really regretted your trip to IKEA, you and your daughter must've been daunted with the number of options available, so figuring it out could have been a mommy-daughter discussion that involved a lot of puzzled looks for your cutie.

    1. I never truly regret my trips to IKEA with the kids. They get a TON of playtime and I get to look at all the bedrooms/living rooms/kitchens I might someday have! Addison definitely stuck with one room design though and hasn't budged an inch on it! Which will make it easier for me to recreate what she'd like come May :)
