Seaside Weekend!

Picture heavy post!

We did A LOT of stuff at the beach last weekend.

The first day we jumped up, made breakfast, got the littles ready and headed out the door.

We went to the arcade, to the candy store, rode the carousel, ate ice cream and then ditched the Grandma and the littlest little at the house so they could nap!

That all happened in just the first half of our super fun filled day.

I'll get to the beach photos next but for now I'm sharing the photos from Saturday morning!

Enjoy!

At the arcade my Mom stayed with Scarlett and chased her around.

This kid LOVES all of the driving games and will demand that you sit and "drive" with her.

I took Addison with me and we wandered around and played the shooting games and the whack a mole games.

Pretty much anything she could use a hammer to whack and animal with she wanted to play.

She got lots of tickets and ended up purchasing these...

"Look Mom! Doesn't my mouth smell stinky? You should smell it and say PEE YOU!"

Paul wandered around with Lily and they played LOTS of games.

She ended up with the most tickets and also the most candy!

We're gonna have to watch this girl with our debit cards.

We did a lot of walking and a lot of talking.

You can also add some skipping to that equation.

Scarlett got to ride the carousel like a big girl for the first time and spent the entire ride yelling "WEEEEEEEE!" at the top of her lungs.

Addison actually stayed ON the carousel for once.

Not only does she look like me, she was gifted with my aversion to amusement park rides as well.

Lucky little chicken girl.

Lily buckled up her new monkey and had fun waving at Daddy and Grandma every time we passed.

WEEEEEEEE!

Neither Lily or Addison were too happy about not riding the carousel 18 times.

We offered a trip to the candy store for some ice cream and they perked right up!

Look closely at Addison's arm in these next three photos...

Addison walks with a purpose!

This kids arm swings like none other.

When you walk into the candy shop you get a chance to spin that big wheel for a prize!

Nobody in our family won but they give you a piece of salt water taffy just for trying.

Lily had been super excited about getting ice cream all day so when she spotted the freezers she definitely squealed a little!

All the girls got bubble gum ice cream and hoovered them down.

Scarlett was very excited about her cone and kept repeating "Ooh! Cream!" over and over inbetween cute little itty bitty licks.

Paul decided that he and I were going to try 3 different kinds of taffy.

Jalapeno, Habanero, and some other gross spicy flavor.

All 3 were exceedingly gross and I don't suggest any of them.

Taffy shouldn't taste like BBQ.

After the girls had a chance to ride yet another fake pony we took them all back to the house,
de-smurf-ified the older two and took off for the beach and aquarium while the Gummy and littlest little napped!

More pictures to come later!

Lollipops and Super Heroes

Lily had a Valentines Day party in her 1st grade class yesterday.

She came home with a bag of candy and cards from all of her classmates.

I told her that she could share her day with all of you on the blog.

So here goes...

"Today was Valentines Day. Can you believe what happened?! I, Lily, got these crazy cool super hero lollipops. They had, like, capes AND they had cool masks to cover their eyes! I LOVE THEM! They are SO cool! I watched a movie at school and I had so much fun. There's pictures in this blog. They are very fun. They are pictures of the super hero lollipops AND there is a video at the end! Happy Valentines Day! I hope you like the blog. Now here are the pictures and the video. Enjoy!"

Overwhelming

I've never really been a big valentines day enthusiast.

It's not because I'm some poo poo'er of love either.

It's just always felt a bit forced to me and I would much rather receive a book my husband knows I've been wanting to read on a random Tuesday just because he thought of me.

That being said, this Valentines day has been amazing.

Not because I've received large gifts or flowers or copious amounts of chocolate, but because I woke up this morning to Mr. Harriot gently kissing me goodbye before he left for work, and all 3 of my little girls climbing into bed with me 15 minutes before my alarm clock went off and snuggling, and my biggest little lady telling me she was the happiest she's been in a long time and requesting that I photograph her because of it, my middle little lady demanding that she get to wear all pink and a dress because she likes to be pretty, and my littlest little lady showering me with extra kisses because she just feels like it today.

Today I have felt the love in our home and it is overwhelming.

Happy Valentines Day from The Harriot Family.

Da BEACH!

We whisked our girls away for the weekend because we desperately needed some time to recoup as a family!

We showered the girls with love and fun and made sure that everyone had an amazing time.

We also took my Mama along for the ride and she gave Paul and I an opportunity to get out for a night and enjoy each other over dinner and drinks.

So worth it!

Thank you Mom for helping us this weekend and for showering a little extra love on the ladies!

More posts to come, but for now enjoy photos from our first morning!
