Chalk and Modeling

We went to California!

Now we're back!

Yay!

I took lots of pictures, but I'll start you off with our first two days of travel and and playing at Aunt Lacey and Uncle Brandon's house.

We got the girls up at 5am and loaded them directly into the van.

Scarlett promptly threw up 30 minutes into our 12 hour drive and then passed out.

The drive went really well and we got to our location right before dinner.

We were able to enjoy a picnic dinner at the park down the street that Aunt Lacey made for us and the girls and then went home, pajama'd up, and enjoyed our hostesses company!

The next morning we woke up and played outside with bubbles and chalk.

This girl.

They showed me their best model poses.

Boy howdy do they know some good ones.

We are in so much trouble!

Toes and Snark

While loading the car up this morning I slammed my pinky toe into the wheel of our lawn mower.

I'm talented like that.

When I doubled over in pain and tried my best not to mutter every curse word under the sun Addison decided to check up on me.

Addison: You ok Mom? What happened?

Mom: Oh, you know, just rammed my poor defenseless toe into the stationary lawn mower.

Addison:  Ouch Mom, that sounds like it hurts.

Mom:  Yup, just pay attention to where you're walking ok?

Addison:  I always do that, maybe you should try that next time.

We're Going to California!

For vacation!

On Saturday!

Until then, I've been keeping the girls super busy with lots of activities and fun!

Mr. Rojin turned 4 on Wednesday and we played with him at the splash pad for his birthday party.

Then today, we woke up and ran all of our errands before our big vacation!

The girls were super for the whole morning so I treated them to some pizza and glitter tattoos.

^This is the girls "model pose" I think Scarlett had more of a model ninja vibe going on.

Addison needed to show me all of her model poses after that.

But switched it to super hero poses at the end ^.

Which gave Lily all sorts of ideas.

In the end she settled on rocking the super man.

Then we headed off to play with friends in a pool!

The girls did great!

Lily dog paddled till her heart was content and loved showing off her under water breath holding skillz.

Addison was a side clutching, super cautious inter tube wearer the entire time, except of course when she was trying to drown people by clinging to their backs in fear.

Scarlett. Is. Crazy.

That kid has zero fear and loves to cackle when she freaks her Mama out.

I have one day to get the whole house cleaned and 5 people packed.

I'm also doing three different photography meetings and 1 session tomorrow because I love to put the pressure on.

Yay!
