Summer Lovin'

I forget sometimes that I don't need to set up little photo sessions for my family.

I forget that my favorite photos of my babies are the ones of them just hanging out in their swimsuits, covered in peanut butter, playing with naked barbies, and smearing their expensive all natural sunscreen on the coffee table.

Or putting on their fancy new big girl sandal wedges while they don't realize anyone is watching.

My favorite photos are pictures at the park that they demand to go to EVERY DAY.

When they demand that I snap a photo of them laying in the sun on their big girl towels.

Or enjoying running into friends at the new splash pad.

I have to remember to take photos of all of the little things in their lives, because it's the little moments I enjoy the most.

Lily's First Science Fair

Lily had a science fair at her school a few weeks ago and she chose an above land volcano for her project!

She built it out of a 12 oz juice bottle, cardboard, play dough and paint.

We took it to school the next day to show her class.

She combined vinegar and dye inside the bottle and dropped a paper pouch with baking soda into the middle of her volcano and then waited for the eruption.

Her class was extremely entertained by the waterworks and how long the volcano "exploded" for.

They did complain about the vinegar smell though.

The actual science fair was 2 days later and she was super excited to get to show off her real non dormant volcano to all of her friends and family again.

She did so well on this project and she was even happier to get to share it with everyone.
